Wine 1160 is looking for a passionate sommelier interested in taking the next step to a managerial role.

Wine 1160 is a new wine bar with an innovative approach to food and wine matching. With a small and targeted list of 160 wines, the list has been carefully selected to convey the story behind the artisans of the wine industry.

• Be the leader of a small, skilled team

We are looking for an applicant with:

• Long experience working as a sommelier in a formal wine environment.
• Appropriate formal accreditations through WSET and the Court of Master Sommeliers.
• Familiarity with stock management processes including purchasing and stocktaking.
• Strong leadership and an ability to work within a small and active team.
• A generous approach to hospitality, good at establishing relationships with the local clientele and regulars.

The applicant will benefit from formal training within the venue and help their personal growth and development. 

The successful applicant will commence work prior to the opening of the venue in November 2016.
